Not Rocket Science

It doesn’t take a genius to connect the dots and recognize patterns of social behavior that has potential for making or breaking nations or cultures. A little common sense can tell even a child with a basic understanding of history, that unlike any war or time in the nation’s history, the United States is at the historical make it or break it point where empires have fallen. Even without a historical knowledge, a child can sense something is very, very wrong in their world.

A child caught up in a family with a history of domestic violence and abuse through no fault of their own, is no different from America’s children watching their nation self destruct withoutan ability to be heard or do anything to stop the arguing that leads to an all too familiar violence. In their own way a child knows if things continue in the direction they are going, that something really bad is going to happen; often, despite their innocence …becoming the victim.

Does this make sense?

Thankfully, response to the question ‘Does this make sense?’ … from all over America, has literally been passionate and constructive.

Americans from coast to coast are genuinely concerned about the direction the nation is going. A growing consensus recognizes that the division within The People of America and the United States Government (s) is tearing the nation apart to the level assured self-destruction if the nation remains polarized.Respondents have also expressed awareness of the risk to U.S. National Security from enemies outside of America’s borders is increasing day by day as America becomes more divided over issues pending the November 2010 elections.

Few fail to recognize that the dramatic polarization is not without potential risks beyond the obvious.

Policies and actions within the current administration and controlling Congress pose even greater risk to the welfare and security of America’s future if left unchecked.
 
‘Conservatives’ share frustrations with the Republican Party (GOP)’s lack of any specific plan beyond mudslinging, finger pointing and wanting to get back control. Both registered Democrats and Republicans otherwise known as Americans, share frustrations over policies and lack of leadership from both sides .… All agree the nation must work toward unity.

Generally speaking, despite many differences and perspectives of Endrunlv readers around the world, people from strategic cities and countries around the world have been sharing similar concerns about the direction America is heading as America’s political and economic instability adds greater risk to global security.

Dangerous Times In a Pivotal Political Year

The 2010 elections are as critical to America’s future as any election in World History …however, whoever controls Washington after the elections will do little toward ‘taking the country back’ (as it has been) if America remains un-united and without direction. Factions within the United States have demonstrated that they will stop at nothing to further their agenda(s) even against the will and best interests of the people.

China and extreme factions within the Muslim World pose grave danger to the sustainability of America and the world as we have known it.

The Speakers of both ‘The House’ and Senate, and The Vice President, among others, demonstrate that it doesn’t take the brightest candles in the chandelier to be in control of Washington.Everyone knows the power comes from special and corporate interests providing the most funds behind the scenes that are priorities for both sides of the political aisle, any they …who ‘pull the strings.’

More than just ‘Dangerous Times’ for 2010-2012

While Americans have been beating each other up through the politicization of anything and everything, and the selection and election of government officials more like a season of ‘American Idol’ complete with Jerry Springer style blaming and finger pointing over issues …even darker clouds are building over America.
The second economic tsunami discussed in ‘Healing a Nation- The World As We Know it’ and an increasing number of Wall Street analysts , researchers, and economists, predict further collapse of the economy and devaluation of the U.S. Dollar and new currency in 2010.

As cracks in the dam were beginning to appear researchers have seen the inevitable coming for years concerning US Economic policies, the 2008 Wall Street collapse was like the first crack in the dam to spring a leak. Unfortunately few, but some economists and futurists were able to read the signs of a collapse as early as 2004-2005 while sharp global business leaders began to prepare as early as 2006-2007.

To keep itself afloat, and prop up a fragile global economy… due to America’s longstanding position as the backbone of the global economy, the G20 has invested heavily in the United States since the financial bubble imploded in 2008.

However, with all the propping and bubble gum The Fed and economic advisers can muster… once the leak has started, sooner than later the crack gives way to total collapse.

In light of the recent economic crisis and structural flaws in US Economic Policy, to shore up against the world’s dependency on the United States, efforts by the G20 have been ongoing to structure a safer economic environment with less dependency on the United States.

Commercial foreclosures in process for months are close to coming out the other end of the pipe, adding further pressure on the banking industry.

Further job losses and resulting residential foreclosures are set to begin creating additional strain on the American economy by May 2010, snowballing into pandemonium by as early as late July 2010.

Beyond the Economy
 
Wild Cards directly and indirectly related to global economic pressures who are capable of disrupting global order with substantial impact on the United States like China, Russia, and Israel discussed in ‘Healing A Nation [The World] Now what?’ have been joined by growing threat from Iran, North Korea, and Muslim Extremists with shifting, positioning, and paranoia not unlike the Cold War , but on a global scale …all having different agendas and technologies not in the best interest of the United States.

Global instability (particularly in the Middle East) continues to increase to such a degree that as with the crack in America’s economic dam … peace efforts between certain nations will run thin and all hell is about to break loose in certain places.

2010 Election

We would not be a democracy if we all agreed on every point. Its how we handle it that is the key!

It isn’t surprising that many Democrats are not running this year. Could the reality be that they are not scared because Scott Brown got elected … bla , bla, bla?

“I’ve never seen it this dysfunctional,” he said. In light of the surprise Republican victory by Scott Brown in the race to replace the late Sen. Ted Kennedy’s senate seat in Massachusetts, Biden said the win was not solely a warning shot to Democrats.“I think it was to everybody in public life, and it was, ‘Hey, guys, get your act together. Get something going.”

While self-proclaimed ‘Great Americans’ on talk radio can’t get beyond a ‘bitch fest’ over ‘Obama politics’ and openly fuel the polarization of America … despite warnings of the consequences Jesus, Abraham Lincoln, and Abigail Adams spoke of , the future and survival of America is literally at stake …buzzards are circling around us and storm clouds are building for a ‘Perfect Storm’.

2010-2012 has a potential for one of those ‘Come to Jesus’ moments for anyone in or running for office (especially 2010).The realities of events ahead of the November 2010 elections call for strong brilliant leadership …(not just politicians … or the weak at heart).

2010: Taking OUR Nation Back Step By Step

  *[Readers are encouraged to read through the 'Finding America' series discussing ' How do we fix this?' and participate with comments and suggestions.]*

Collectively, over recent decades, Americans have grown accustomed to taking the path of least resistance … a kind of ‘go with the flow’ mentality.

In the first of a ‘So, How do We Fix This’ series searching for solutions for getting America back on track, So..How do we fix this? (1) 2010: Finding America- [The Way Back] asks questions to begin an exploration of ‘Human Behavior with global and political perspectives (including growing national security and economic issues) as politics (as politics go in America), further weaken America’s strength while Americans allow themselves to be pulled apart and distracted by politicians, media misinformation, and special interests before November 2010 elections,’

One of the right reasons for exploring the political climate in America at this juncture, is ‘America as we have known it is in grave danger if the people of ‘United States’ are not united 2010-2012 and beyond for the right reasons.’ ;

‘Many will argue that America is ‘waking up’ …only to blame someone else for America’s problems’.

Nation Divided

As election year 2010 heats up, the people of America divided over political issues that (although they may be important) are far from where Americans need to be focused.

The mantra ‘Take America back!’ is reverberating from coast to coast with growing awareness that as stated by a reader in a letter to the editor of the Texarkana Gazette January28, 2010:

‘Democrats versus Republican, left wing, right wing, progressive, conservative speaking out in the media and newspapers is not going to change direction of our country. It is going take all citizen of our country to wake up and realize they hold the key to changing our country.’

Like a Trojan Horse [Malware], it is almost as if the issues and controversies have been purposefully thrown in the face of ‘We the People’ by special interests and the media to divide and weaken the nation as discussed in ‘Leadership and Politics’.

After a year of ‘Hope and Change’ America seems to be knee jerking its way to the ‘right’ as depicted by ‘The O’Reilly Factor: The right stuff By Bill O’Reilly’ as quoted in the Green Valley News [Santa Cruz Valley Arizona].

As ‘Right-wing politics’ is generally known for ‘traditional values’ , and ‘Left-wing politics’ is generally used to describe support for social change with a view towards creating a more egalitarian society, Americans have become dramatically split to the point of completely losing perspective on what America as nation is all about.

Both perspectives should be focused on traditional values to the extent that if the day to day operations in Washington do not return to the basic fundamentals that The United States of America was founded on … ‘The Constitution’, ‘The Bill of Rights’, and ‘The Federalist Papers’ [advocating the ratification of the United States Constitution] … in and for the best interests of We the People and National Security rather than special interests .. then the nation, and its rightful place and function as a leader and democratic model in the global community and America itself is unsustainable.

Under the Gun

State and Federal governments are under the gun. As the current administration is running around like one foot is nailed to the floor, Senators, and The House of Representatives feel the pressure to the extent that many (without mentioning names) are dropping out from the 2010 race

The Silver Bullet

If ever there was a time and appropriate use of the term ‘community organizer’, it should be NOW and for the purpose of helping individuals unite together in every community and state and to clearly understand ‘The Constitution’, and ‘The Bill of Rights’ and the power ‘We the People’ have in determining the direction and destiny for America’s children and future.discussed in ‘Leadership and Politics’ … ‘So powerful is the Constitutional right and freedom to choose representatives to best serve the interests of the American public, that until such rights are removed as in non democratic nations, special interests and agendas not in the best interest of ‘We the People’ have no legal alternative other than invest in the manipulation and influence of the American public through packaging, branding and scripting candidates.’

The only agenda and political strategy in Washington for either side of the isle in 2010 should be getting back to basics and uniting rather than dividing the people of America.

‘The Constitution of the United States of America is the supreme law of the United States. Collectively and individually Americans need to know and understand what that means.

Responsibly, candidates and elected officials in 2010-2012 should focus on ‘the supreme law of the United States‘ as it was intended, and ensure the people of America that they are holding themselves accountable to the law and those standards as a representative of ‘We the People’ and no one else.

The party or candidate serving the best interests of the people of America is the one that will win in 2010 and 2012.

The world as everyone on the planet has  known it from the beginning of time,  is in a state of flux.

Timing for the pivotal events taking place globally, could not be better orchestrated.

As Americans adjust to ‘change’ from business as usual to a global economic calamity; from H1N1 to health care reform, and a place in the global community (not as the world leader, but as a member in common), the world as we have known it itself (the global community), accelerates the Quest for Solutions for global problems that threaten the very existence of  Humanity.

People and cultures world wide are clinging to one another in a collective awareness that this time in the history of mankind is unlike any other.

Climate change, availability of resources [food, water, energy], disease, peaceful coexistence , human security and sustainability appears to have taken the front seat over war and power for priorities of concern.

Wild Card Factors Remain

‘Quest for Solutions‘, 2009 September 19 , discusses  possibilities as wild cards that could affect a transition into a New Global Order of government.

Russia

Obama’s ‘no quid pro quo’ move to scrap the missile defense program in Europe essentially changed the playing field in Eastern Europe.

The United States’ withdrawal of the program has opened a window of opportunity for Russia to regain dominance in Easter Europe including control of former Soviet States were it possible.

On a global basis, in the obvious absence of a United States as a balance of power, Russia is building ties with nations to strengthen strategic political and military presence as an emerging  ‘good guy’ in the global community (even in Afghanistan) as discussions continue on another United States (Obama) step backward in the Middle East.

“As the crisis starts to mellow in the richest countries, we should pay attention to global tasks, which have been moved to the background. We will be able to say that the crisis makes us wiser only if we continue and intensify the reduction of global inequality,”President Dmitry Medvedev said in an article entitled “The Russian Role in the Transitional Period.” Copyright © ITAR-TASS all rights reserved.

China

China emerges as the world’s second largest economy and holding the largest percentage of  United States Securities (The United States being the world’s largest debtor and financially unstable)

As the global economic crisis is largely viewed by nations members of the G20 and other forums as being triggered by Wall Street and associates’ questionable patterns and practices, China found itself caught off guard, and holding the bag  from substantial investment in potentially worthless US Treasuries and government securities.

In an effort to calm Chinese frustrations with the United States; ‘Obama said the government is committed to a strategy of spending less and saving more.’

China has actively participated in discussion with the global community to reassess the US Dollar as a global standard of currency and move toward a global currency backed by gold and oil.

Saudi Arabia and other oil producing nations have recently been moving toward not  accepting the US Dollar for purchase of oil.

The move against the US Dollar due to the Wall Street Collapse places the United States behind the eight ball with hat in hand rather than a significant power.

Israel

Though allegedly pleased with the meeting Netanyahu Prime Minister of Israel with president Obama  Monday November 10, 2009 at the White House, Israel struggles with the reality that Iran and encroaching enemies from Lebanon and Syria as well as the Palestinian matter remain critical to Israeli national security and essentially, Obama is telling nations little more than what they want to hear as the United States treads water while trying to find its own place in the global future.

Israel knows the odds are against peace in the Middle East and that the longstanding support and commitment to Israel the United States to upheld for generations is diminishing as a movement toward globalization progresses and now faces another dilemma as the chief  Palestinian negotiator said he would ask UN Security Council to recognise an independent state because of a failure to restart talks.

As Israel faces the reality that it may be facing the threat of its destruction by Iran and neighboring enemies without support from anyone, including the United States.

Israeli leaders despite dissent by left wing Jews throughout the world,  have signaled the possibility of a first strike defense strategy on Iran’s nuclear facilities as Israel demonstrated against Iraq on December 7, 1981 ; however, with the understanding with seemingly nothing to lose,  a Masada style showdown with surrounding enemies is the likely outcome.

The New World Disorder

On the  edge of what surely appears a well orchestrated move to unified globalization and a one world government, agendas and philosophies of  nations and organizations differ.

Renegades such as Iran, North Korea, Venezuela could care less about prospects of a ‘New World Order’ when they despise the leaders and conformity of the movement toward globalization as demonstrated in conferences at the United Nations and other forums.

Russia continues to demonstrate an agenda that predates the fall of the Berlin Wall as if the apparent failure of Communism in Russia was nothing more than part of the plan for domination and control of at least the old Soviet Union if not more… .

While China has its sights on Africa, despite its emerging status as a superpower, many of China’s residents do not see that as their responsibility, China Grapples with Its Role on Global Stage

NATO, The United Nations, The European Union, India, Pakistan, the G20 and the G7 are all positioning for identity and purpose in the global community.

So what now  for the United States?

Setting aside all politics; left, right, conservative, liberal, Democratic or Republican but simply standing as Americans; as the world’s largest debtor with trillions of worthless dollars in debt to support a house of cards in the global trend America has little strength left as the leader.

On November 14, 2009 in his nine day trip to Asia, US President Obama pledged  to China and the world ‘to deepen dialogue with China rather than seek to contain the rising power.’

In turn for political reasons, ‘Obama’s historic trip to China was marred last night by censorship‘ ‘The White House has noted that the Chinese have been controlling every detail of this visit.’ Huliq News Monday, November 16 2009.

America has little choice left but to buckle up and humbly work through this together and learn from mistakes.

People’s Choice

The matter on the table is not about Obama, but America’s future if we intend to have one.

Government can not be allowed the power to mismanage and make wrong choices at the expense and against the will of the people.

The world knows every move and decision we make as a people, and as a government.

In France, the government knows that the people will stop everything and pour into the streets in protest of any action not favorable to the will of the people.

January 29, 2009 ‘A nationwide protest against President Nicolas Sarkozy’s economic policies drew more than a million demonstrators into the streets of France on Thursday in the biggest popular challenge to the president since he took office in 2007.’

‘Capitalism and free enterprise is not evil..the abuse of it and greed is evil.’

In America, the world sees Jerry Springer style politics, meaningless promises, and corruption, while the people focus on what Brittany Spears and Paris Hilton do in their personal life known as the ‘dumbing down’ of a great nation.

The possibilities for The people of America and Humanity itself..  are positively limitless.

As  the world searches for solutions, its not too late for people of America to stand back up and take a respectful leadership role to make a difference in the direction our world needs to go before time runs out on Humanity itself.

Its not about ‘me… its about WE’.

If we don’t,  it’s not rocket science… a demise  rather than enlightenment by 2012 is entirely possible.

The world as everyone on the planet has  known it from the beginning of time,  is in a state of flux.

Timing for the pivotal events taking place globally, could not be better orchestrated.

As Americans adjust to ‘change’ from business as usual to a global economic calamity; from H1N1 to health care reform, and a place in the global community (not as the world leader, but as a member in common), the world as we have known it itself (the global community), accelerates the Quest for Solutions for global problems that threaten the very existence of  Humanity.

Climate change, availability of resources [food, water, energy], disease, peaceful coexistence , human security and sustainability appears to have taken the front seat over war and power for priorities of concern.

Obama’s ‘no quid pro quo’ move to scrap the missile defense program in Europe essentially changed the playing field in Eastern Europe.

China

China emerges as the world’s second largest economy and holding the largest percentage of  United States Securities (The United States being the world’s largest debtor and financially unstable)

When I was a little boy about three years old, my Granny watched me every day while my parents both worked. My whole life revolved around my Granny and Pappy.

Looking back on those times… a blessed childhood is magical.

Amid the many magical memories of my childhood, Granny told me story after story of adventures she had as a girl growing up. At the end of the day when night came, I often spent the night at Granny and Pappy’s as a special treat.

After a day of adventures with Granny, at night after dinner, Pappy would set me on his knee and begin to share adventures of his own and show me the stars and tell me about the constellations and planets.

I remember one particular time, still probably only three or four years old, Granny started telling me Bible stories from heart. The most vivid memory I have is when she began to tell me about what the Bible had to say about the End Times. Her words are cloudy, but I remember little things, one being that ‘the yellow race would [dominate] the world’, and that ‘ When the end comes, the World as we know it would no longer exist’.

Of course as it turns out, there isn’t a reference to a ‘yellow race’ anywhere in the Bible that I have been able to find, but references to ‘End Times’ prophecy is everywhere.

I couldn’t quite get the ‘race’ thing or ‘yellow’ at the age of three or four anyway. I got Granny to explain about the ‘human race’ and all I could picture was all these people running together in some kind of race.

In my childlike imagination, I can picture it very clearly. Those moments and visions have always been with me …something in my heart like a gentle voice assuring me that these are the days Granny told me about, and that everything will be fine.

Looking back on those days, I can see that over the years, even to this day those childhood moments directed my path.

One of my many interests has been prophecy. I guess, given the basis of what Granny told me about the ‘End Times’ and the mystery of things that foretold of future events has always fascinated me.

As a business strategist I do a lot of research into patterns of events and statistics that affect business and economic trends… which in turn, affect each of us as individuals.

As a former business owner in mortgage backed securities, global telecommunications, and international finance, my only talent for getting projects accomplished was to learn as much as possible about a particular challenge through research, and to partner with people that knew more than I did about the complexities… but not drawn to the creative aspect of structuring a business opportunity.

I’ve worked with governments… often involving matters of national security, as well as corporations, entrepreneurs, economists, even scientists in piecing together workable solutions for a successful venture not unlike others who pursue the same interests.

The only difference I’ve noticed in others along the way is that they didn’t have Granny.

Granny put me on a path with an insight into the future as depicted in Bible prophecy that opened my curiosity for things that relate to future events based on research and evidence.

Fast Forward

Whether it be The Bible, Edgar Cayce, Web bot, or Mayan Calendar … people are drawn to anything that hints of future apocalyptic events.

Even if we are apathetic toward Biblical references… most of us are somewhat aware of the ‘signs of the times’ depicted in ancient prophecy. Despite studying prophetic scriptures for many years …it always amazes me when I run across prophecy describing experiences that have taken place or are being fulfilled in my lifetime.

In my research relating to ‘Healing A Nation‘, like many of us, I’ve been following current global events very closely.

In just the past few days in Pittsburgh was the The 2009 G20 Pittsburgh Summit which  took place at Pittsburgh‘s David L. Lawrence Convention Center on September 24–25, 2009, and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change 2009. The news has been filled with ‘globalization’, climate issues, war and peace in the Middle East, famine, diseases, and 2012 predictions.

With all that’s happening nowadays in unprecedented historic proportion, I was naturally drawn to a link I ran across… ‘The End of the World Recently Fulfilled Prophecy’. ‘We are living in a period of time that is of overwhelming interest to all’. Sure enough, Biblical prophecy is starting to look like USA Today.

The world as we have known it even as recently as a year or so… no longer exists.

The probability factor of so many events predicted in various prophecies throughout history being actually fulfilled is beyond calculation, and certainly beyond coincidence…

Even so… before the end comes, regardless of whose prediction a person chooses to subscribe to, near term events must take place to allow all the pieces to fit together.

America in the new Global Order

America’s economic problems are by no means over.

To keep itself afloat, and prop up a fragile global economy… due to America’s longstanding position as the backbone of the global economy, the G20 has invested heavily in the United States since the financial bubble imploded in 2008.

In light of the recent economic crisis, to shore up against the world’s dependency on the United States, efforts by the G20 have been ongoing to structure a safer economic environment with less dependency on the United States.

The 2008 Wall Street collapse and economic aftermath in the American economy was like a tsunami that affected a global economic crisis sending a wake up call throughout the global community catching even the elite of economic strategists off guard.

Unfortunately few, but some economists and futurists were able to read the signs of a collapse as early as 2004-2005 while sharp global business leaders began to prepare as early as 2006-2007.

Despite what the Obama administration would have Americans and global leaders to believe… like a tsunami, a second wave of economic calamity is still likely to come based on common sense.

Mortgage and Real Estate

The heaviest density of adjustable rate mortgages set to reset is in California beginning November 2009. Expect a second wave of home mortgage defaults when rates reset in 2010 and 2011.

This will create a second impact affecting the real estate market resulting from foreclosures and continued unemployment statistics.

Before our eyes we’ve already seen Mervyns, Circuit City, banks and hundreds of auto dealers disappear.

A projected 125,000 retail stores are expected to close in 2009 alone, leading to even more bank defaults and further job losses.

Already showing up on the radar; unavoidably, the next bubble to burst will be commercial real estate, and crash harder than the residential market.

Markets

The current rally in the stock market is expected to end as early as late Oct/Nov 2009. The Dow closed at 9665 on Friday… however, models indicate a likelihood of the Dow to go back down to 6470 resetting portfolio values at trillions less than today’s artificially created state of existence.

Consumers

Existing-home sales in the U.S. unexpectedly fell in August, breaking a string of four increases as the housing market struggles to recover.

Demand for US durable goods unexpectedly fell in August and sales of new homes rose less than forecast restraining pace of economic recovery.

Unemployment statistics show a leveling of new claims for unemployment benefits; however, the numbers do not reflect numbers of unemployed remaining without jobs who have exhausted unemployment benefits. True unemployment numbers projected by analysts reach upward of 15%-17%.

America and the New World Economy

The G20, The United Nations, and European Union has enough invested in the United States that the trillions in interest alone cannot be paid. A second economic tsunami for America would be unsustainable under present circumstances, and untolerated by the global community.

A much debated new global currency wherein the United States as part of a New Global Community of Nations is all but reality.

A new global currency and standard based on gold and oil replaces the dollar as quickly as dust settles from the next ‘tsunami’ wave.

Essentially, not unlike General Motors and AIG… ‘checkmate’… The United States defaults to the World (G20)… and in order to survive… without a shot being fired… sometime before 2012, Obama hands over the keys to America… and America surrenders to conditions set forth by a collective global policy… No longer U.S. policy, but the policy of a ‘New World Order‘.

Prophecy Fulfilled

I’m often asked about my political and religious views. Many know I try to avoid ‘labels’ which are worthless in reality.

Black, brown, green, blue, red, Christian, Islamic, Jewish, conservative, liberal, or cosmically ‘enlightened’ are all seeing the fulfillment of a number of ancient prophecies right before our eyes.

The Bible says [to paraphrase] ‘The sheep will be separated from the goats.. the sheep at the Right Hand and the goats at the other… There will be talk of peace for Jerusalem, but there will be no peace.’

As we see prophetic events whether for political, religious or racial reasons simultaneously unfold.. so too, are we seeing a philosophical dividing of Humanity that even a ‘New World Order‘ can’t fix.

Choices

Truth has a way of leveling the playing field… a bottom line that results from choices each of us make with consequences that last for eternity. Despite any one or more of the many philosophies one chooses to subscribe to… dark prophecies and daunting signs of the times… truth never falters.

People have told me over the years in jest… they ‘Want to go to hell because all their friends are going to be there.’

Still… our fate comes down to choices we make. Granny told me ‘everything would be fine’. The Bible says that despite the bleak signs and events of the ‘ End Times’… those who endure to the end will be rewarded. Islam, Buddhism, Judaism, even the ‘enlightened’ all have promises of hope beyond the ‘End Times’ of the world as we know it.

The signs of the times are designed to give us a perspective and understanding of what truth is despite the many paths to choose from… but a path we must choose.

Looking at the big picture… no where can I see that putting my trust in man will ensure a safe path. All I really have is the voice inside me.

After reading the signs and ‘connecting the dots’ … I’m going for that place at the Right Hand.

The past couple of weeks I’ve been on the verge of updating the last blog post ‘Healing A Nation [The World ]’. Every time I think I have the topic in context with the last blog, potentially world changing events occur that present a new light on what may or may not be immediate solutions for America’s future.

The good news is:  when overcoming America’s current problems,  just to get back to the task of  leveling a playing field for America’s future (indigent children) seems  beyond possibility, its exciting to know there are powerful non political organizations of peoples and nations who have been working behind the scenes for years collectively seeking solutions for Humanity’s future which include America’s future and security as well as that of all countries.

With the political drama thrown in our faces day in and day out by the (special interests controlled) media in the Jerry Springer style I referred to in Healing A Nation [The World], who would know without researching …there are constructive efforts to find solutions for the global problems concerning us all?

The Millennium Project

In my quest for understanding a need for a holistic approach in solving America’s current socioeconomic and political problems,  I recently came into contact with The Millennium Project.

The Millennium Project is a global participatory futures research think tank of futurists, scholars, business planners, and policy makers who work for international organizations, governments, corporations, NGOs, and universities.

The Millennium Project Sponsors from 1996 to present include   Azerbaijan Ministry of Communications, Baku, Azerbaijan,  The Rockefeller Foundation, New York, NY,  US Army Environmental Policy Institute (AEPI), Arlington, Virginia,   World Bank (through World Perspectives Inc.), Washington, DC, The Hershey Company, Hershey, Pennsylvania, as well as other globally known organizations.

The Project was initiated by the Smithsonian Institution, The Futures Group International, and the United Nations University (UNU). It was created through a three-year feasibility study funded by the U.S. EPA, UNDP, and UNESCO, in which participated over 200 futurists and scholars from about 50 countries. Phase 1 of the feasibility study began in 1992 with funding from U.S. EPA to identify and link futurists and scholars around the world to create the initial design of the Project and conduct a first test on population and environmental issues. In 1993/94 during Phase II, a series of reports were created on futures research methodology and long-range issues important to Africa, funded by UNDP. Phase III, conducted in 1994/95 under the auspices of the UNU/WIDER and funded by UNESCO concluded with the final feasibility study report.  Today, the Project accomplishes its mandate by connecting individuals and institutions around the world to collaborate on research to address important global challenges. Since 1996, about 2,500 futurists, scholars, decision makers, and business planners from over 50 countries contributed with their views to the Millennium Project research.

The 15 Global Challenges provide a framework to assess the global and local prospects for Humanity. Their description, with a range of views and actions to addressed each, enriched with regional views and progress assessments are updated each year since 1996 and published in the annual Millennium Project  ‘State of the Future’, with an Executive Summary each year,  in addition to an  in-depth reporting of  research analysis  and recommendations by participants addressing the global challenges for Humanity.

The World Economic Forum (WEF)

The World Economic Forum is an independent, international organization incorporated as a Swiss not-for-profit foundation,  striving towards a world-class corporate governance system where values are as important a basis as rules.

‘Our motto is ‘entrepreneurship in the global public interest’. We believe that economic progress without social development is not sustainable, while social development without economic progress is not feasible.’

The vision for the World Economic Forum is threefold. It aims to be: the foremost organization which builds and energizes leading global communities; the creative force shaping global, regional and industry strategies; the catalyst of choice for its communities when undertaking global initiatives to improve the state the world.

General World Economic Forum Intitiatives are overseen by the guardianship of  a dynamic board including global leaders such as  Kofi Annan, Tony Blair, H.M Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan, and other world leaders in government, science and business.

Most recently, The ‘Summer Davos ‘ Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2009 was held in Dalian, People’s Republic of China from 10-12 September, 2009.

‘At the close of the third Annual Meeting of the New Champions, a panel of multinational experts called for fundamental shifts in business models and government policies to address the glaring imbalances exposed by the crisis.’

Individual Participation

All participants in every organization worldwide agree,  and solicit the participation of individuals in all levels of global society to become involved as part and in the interests of  Humanity which is reflected and available to anyone by  The Millennium Project and  The World Economic Forum (WEF).

Finding solutions for issues from global climate and environmental matters, food and water for the world, macroeconomics, global education, health, and poverty with Humanity’s best interest are all on top of the agendas of several organizations.

Its not all about Obama, or the Democrats, Republicans, or anything to do with politics or America to come up with solutions to save the world. …. as Ive been saying … its all of us together.

America

In the real world, nations like China, The European Union, Africa, England, and Japan are all accepting their role and responsibility for problems threatening the future of  Humanity.

Each are committed to making significant changes to ensure a better future for the world and humanity. As water in China  is mostly contaminated and water tables rapidly falling , China has become a fervent participant despite recent apathy toward environmental and human rights issues as openly shared at  ‘Summer Davos ‘ Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2009. by Wen Jiabao, Premier of the People’s Republic of China.

Nevertheless,  America is still waking up  …still not accepting  responsibility for its role in the world economic crisis, or the risk of its very existence as the world’s most powerful nation being a thing of the past.

We as a nation, individually and collectively need to roll up our sleeves and take charge of  bringing  America back to its humble beginnings of morality, transparency, and Constitution.

The rest of the world  realizes  the need to return to  basic fundamental practices of ethical business and conduct. Links, resources, videos with world leaders openly discussing and agreeing are here in this blog.

America has to turn the corner and catch up with the rest of the world for a change … no politics, no smoke and mirrors,  and no Jerry Springer theatrics … just real open and honest … or be left behind with diminished power and influence in the world without a single shot being fired.

With the G-20, United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change 2009 coming up in Copenhagen,World Economic Forum Annual Meeting Davos-Klosters, Switzerland 27 – 31 January 2010, and other global efforts  to improve the state of the world and the future … America has to step up to the plate.

The world is looking at America with critical eyes and doubts about Obama and the new administration having the leadership capability to adapt to needed changes as seen by the global community.

The next few weeks and months as near as current daily events beyond political issues ‘like health care reform’ , the Obama administration will be reacting to  global expectation and perspective  to cater to the world rather than the people of  America which anyone who is aware, will be able to recognize .

Ready or not, with or without Obama and with or without America, the world is holistically moving forward in the interest of Humanity which in turn,  ensures security in the interests of majority rather than an elite.

Wild card factors

In the midst of global interest in improving the state of the future and Humanity,  since Obama’s ‘no quid pro quo’ move to scrap the missile defense program in Europe, global attention has been drawn to Russia given recent statements and reactions from Russian leaders and Russia’s history since World War II.

Russia is now pressuring the Obama administration for additional  ‘no quid pro quo’ concessions which would benefit only Russia.

Obama has already demonstrated attraction to  Mikhail Gorbachev, and intrigued with the challenge of  building a bond with Putin who thus far only toys with Obama in amusement.

Meanwhile, Israel is being pushed further out on the limb regarding Iran and nuclear threat with Russia behind the scenes selling and/or supplying weapons to enemies of both Russia and The United States while Obama has sent signals to Israel that US/Israel relations are not as trustworthy as in recent decades.

With all of China’s new found good intentions, China is now the second largest economy in the world with exceptional technology and could be drawn into circumstances to protect its own interests apart from the growing global “camaraderie”.

… all the more reason that  America needs to wake up and focus on the realities surrounding each of us as individuals.

The theme of ‘Protecting America’s Abused Children’ didn’t seem to follow the path of child abuse as most people think of child abuse, but causes that lead to abuses and the affects of abuse that impact generations.

There are many types of abuses a child may experience. Sometimes none, sometimes all of them and some we could never imagine like the Jaycee Dugard case.

A Mission For America’s Future

Findings from researches and investigations into child abuse locally, nationally, and even global resulted in a preliminary conclusion that;

‘We believe that indigent children are the most at risk for abuses identified by researchers because of vulnerability due to lack of resources, constructive support, as well as social and environmental conditions.

As a result of circumstances and conditions imposed upon indigent children through no fault of their own, equal rights and opportunities for higher education among other privileges enjoyed by more fortunate children are often times unavailable if not deprived.’

Looking further, I realized that many organizations world wide focus on children in poverty. However, programs for generations have failed to impact the causes that lead to indigence and generations of cycles that perpetuate poverty and indigent behavior and approach correcting the problem.

‘Certain indigent behavior results in patterns of dependency on welfare and other taxpayer paid support and a high percentage of incarceration which perpetuates the cycles by essentially rewarding the behavior.’

The further I looked into the problem the more the complexity.

Healing A Nation

The primary goal for ‘Protecting America’s Abused Children’ has been to level the playing field for children in poverty with the understanding that given the proper tools and education (rather than indigence and indigent culture), generations of cycles of poverty and abuse could at last be broken; and that rather than a drain to the American economy, they would be proud, productive, taxpaying, contributors to the community and future of America.

Before efforts could move forward, despite campaign promises by the new administration to ‘level the playing field’ for these very people my heart has been searching for solutions to help …all hell breaks loose.

An unprecedented economic crisis!

Millions of American families losing their homes, jobs, and security all at the same time has thrown even more people into indigence …affecting the futures of millions of children who now, may only have a life of indigence to look forward to …and the cycle continues.

Leveling The Playing Field

Recent events in America force rethinking the strategy for the ‘Mission’ for ‘Protecting America’s Abused Children’ to protecting America … not just America …but Humanity.

To protect America’s children and ensure a level playing field, we have to look beyond our community and our borders.

The concerns now are that America’s economic instability will go even deeper very quickly, affecting global stability to the point where there will be a whole new playing field before most people have had time to digest recent economic and political events here in America.

The ‘new ball game’ will not be in the best interest of most of humanity which affect efforts to move forward on any of our projects unless Humanity is focused, adequately informed, and united.

Whether we like it or not everything happening on a global basis affects America all the way down to our neighborhoods and personal lives.

To save our own futures and the future of those we care most about we have to think about Humanity and the world we live in as a whole.

I am as against a new ‘one world government’, Communism , or anything else that threatens our freedom and security as anyone. So no! …I’m not going in that direction.

Honestly however, there is no way around the need to completely tear down and rebuild society for a secure future.

Comes now, the need for some repentance as a nation. We can no longer be the self serving, apathetic, and complacent ‘all about me’ creatures who have let all this slip up on us (like a runaway train).

America, is essentially bankrupt .. morally, fundamentally, spiritually, and financially ! We’re done! Unless we change. Not the government… but US! We need to change our attitudes, our hearts and our views.

While we snipe at each other… rip at political opposites, race, religion, and all the stuff we do, guess what? The world is looking at us with little respect.

We will do ourselves in before terrorists or any other enemy will …and no one will care!

As China and the EU is emerging …as Russia and even Africa move forward in cooperation and partnerships ..the United States looks more like a liability the world doesn’t need.

Politics and government is like a Jerry Springer show.

The United States has more debt than any other nation.

We are not going to force the world to see things our way any more. We’re broke …we can’t buy support any more … and we can’t use military power, we’re spread too thin.

America needs to change! …and I’m not referring to the ‘change’ experienced since 2008.

The good news is, while people have been asleep or busy fighting with or apathetic toward one another … a few good people have been working on solutions to spare the demise.

There are a few rules that we have to follow for that to happen.

Being a ‘great American’ takes more than being a FoxNews caller/contributor and showing up at church on Sunday!

The toughest, most challenging rule of all is we have to work together and get along …like a team …like America used to do!
